Plans for Our New Buildings
Architects Jestico + Whiles, our contractors Kier and landscape architects Plincke, have worked closely with Education Swanage to develop new plans for a landmark school building. The design has been developed from our curriculum plan and will offer flexible spaces that mirror our innovative approach to teaching.
One wing contains maths, science and computer labs, the other has the library, English, languages and humanities. Next to the central hall, which can seat the entire school for assemblies and dining, are music rooms and a drama studio with a folding wall that doubles as the main stage. At the rear of the cafe space is a large plaza for outdoor eating in good weather.
Outside are social areas, an amphitheatre and grass pitches and across the car park is the sports hall and all-weather games court, and, beyond that, space for an allotment and nature area.
