Food
The Swanage School will have well-equipped kitchens and a large dining area so that all students will be able to enjoy freshly cooked meals in a relaxed environment.
Food will be prepared on site using local ingredients wherever possible.
We will grow our own fruit and vegetables on site to help encourage an understanding of where food comes from, and by locating the food technology classroom alongside the dining area students will be able to participate in the preparation of food for meal times.
One of the aims of The Swanage School is that students leave with life skills that will benefit them in their future lives, and the growing, preparation and enjoyment of food is an important part of this.
